As an active member of the firm’s litigation team, Preston B. Hilton frequently represents local businesses (for-profit and non-profit), contractors and home owners in various areas of contract negotiation and litigation. Preston has considerable experience prosecuting and defending claims for breach of contract, fraud, unfair and deceptive trade practices and breach of fiduciary duty in both District and Superior Court.
Additionally, Preston has vast experience in criminal defense. Preston represents clients charged with all misdemeanors and felonies. Preston has tried numerous cases before both judge and jury. Presently, Preston is the assigned defense attorney for Brunswick County Treatment Courts, working closely with the Brunswick County Senior Resident Superior Court Judge, Hon. Ola M. Lewis and Brunswick County District Attorney’s Office to find innovative solutions to Brunswick Counties opioid epidemic.
Lastly, Preston devotes a considerable amount of his practice to assisting those clients injured in motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls and dog bites. Personal Injury claims and adjusters can be frustrating and intimidating for injured clients. Preston, along with our team of attorneys, works tirelessly to investigate the claim, preserve important evidence and prepare the best possible case for trial.
Preston is also a volunteer with the Brunswick County Teen Court and Lawyers for Literacy.
